In the past I've used panel mounted USB sockets that typically mount in place of the 12V socket.
One fizzled out completely, the others were a mixed bag of just one working socket or slow charging...
Apart from one remaining panel mount USB socket which I use for recharging torches or similar, my precious or expensive stuff is charged from 12v sockets and reputable branded plug in chargers. For example, a RAVPower charger I use has both QC3.0 and 45W PD sockets. Around £25 but I trust it to charge an iPad pro.
I'm full time in the van and shoot and edit lot of video. My old DJI drone (gave it away) used a 3rd party 12v smart battery charger.
