If there is one point I have to the fore when approaching a bridge, is the height in relation to our MH. This may change when the grey matter diminishes with age, which is why we have and use SatNags.

If I wanted a convertible M/Home, I'd have bought one . I have the vehicle dimensions recorded in the Satnav [and on my phone, 'just in case'], but I stlll check the Bridge signs and work on needing stated 3m clearance to allow for any variations if the road has been resurfaced [live in hope] or similar changes have been made of late

If you look closely the chevron section did raise up.......not much help with coachbuilts...

Kev, Brunhilde is 2.75m high, excluding all the roof paraphenalia, such as tv aerials, fridge vent pipes and the solar panel which is tilted in the lee of the cab bulge; 25cm additional allowance for these pieces of kit [doubt anything is higher than 15cm] gives me a sensible safety margin instead of an expensive repair!

Seems a recurrence of my foible of 'I knew what I meant when I wrote it', crossed with an assumption that, because the OP posted a photo of the bridge and the sign, everyone viewing would understand the context! Another step backwards for me in my quest for perfection, Kev

What gets me is when they put it in Feet and Inches. I know full well that 3.25m gives us a margin but cannot get my head round 10ft 8". Why don't we just go metric and be done with it.
