Park up views the good, bad, ugly

We've mostly used ski lift carparks without incident, running to over 50 nights over the last few years. Have also found village railway station carparks to be handy when transiting, just check the map for one away from the road. They always leave a heated toilet open all night too.
We haven't stopped too many places like this but we are well out of season and had to pay chf2 per hour until 7pm. No campsites open anyway though.

Which may strictly be true, however I have found the Swiss to be much more relaxed about everything than expected.

Little shopping trip across to Mainland (Orkney) with an overnight stop at Hoxa -

Must be honest the above is snip from Streetview as the sun was very low in the sky when we stopped so I couldn't get a photo out to the sea but this is facing the other way with our van parked next to the toilets/waiting room.

Nice quiet night and a chance to give the newly fitted diesel heater a proper workout and it worked a treat.
