Snowbirds 2025

Stopped for a night at Belmonte near Guarda. Great car park....one already on the poi but have added this one. We were alone last night and three vans in the other park up. Nice stone built town to wander round, plenty of history too.

One of the stops on our first visit, over 25 years ago..
We knew nothing of Aires and wildcamping, in those days.
We found the campsite closed, so parked up, outside the gates.
I bet it was a bit chilly, up there, eh?
Safe travels.

So we hopped 45 minutes back up to San Pedro today chasing the sun after yesterday’s torrential rain. Managed a couple of hours and then the clouds moved in 🤨 tomorrow is looking better.
We’re planning to be there Saturday if you’re still around?

Confused.com - again! We will be heading that way ourselves from Saturday, will be interesting what you find near Seville we have only managed a campsite previously

If anyone gets near La Zenia on Costa Blanca coast, I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant in Punta Prima, it's the best Chinese we have eaten in by far, that also includes our favourite in Blackpool called the Mandarin. They do a Menu Del Dai for €11.95, we have eaten there four times so far in the last month, be 5 on Friday, plenty of parking space too. Opens at 1.00pm until 4.00pm.

Went there 15 years ago, with friends living nearby.
It was exceptional then.
Wonderful memories.
Until my number 38 chased the number 47, outside and up a tree.

If you mean this Friday 7th Feb, it's a 25 min walk for us - would you like company?

We have been packing the van all week, just got clothes and water to do, we had to have 2 new tyres put on the front as I noticed they were both nearly down to the markers, and they would not have lasted for our journey, so bank account now empty and living on cup a soup for the next 3 months :D:D. See you all soon 👍

You need to be more specific, Jeff ...
If it's 1 cup a soup each a day, it's genteel poverty; if it's 1 cup a soup between the pair of you each day, it's poverty; and if it's 1 cup of soup between you for the entire trip, think of the extra payload you'll gain ... :ROFLMAO:
