Thoughts whilst driving in France

Arrived at Ailton Le Jeune..
A quiet little place. MOST DAYS. I’m surrounded by Rally cars, fans and officials. Obviously a bit of a section nearby. Although I can’t hear it. All the cars are driving very sedately, with turbo’s grumbling.
What ever else happens, I’m stopping the night. I’ll worry about it tomorrow.

Today is my child bride’s birthday 🎂.
So if you’ve time, wish Nic a happy birthday 🥳
And yes, I’ve missed another one. She wouldn’t have it any other way 😬

Love the driving experience I’ve had so far this trip.
Rightly or wrongly, it seems to me that, there are far less people in France than there are in, I’d say the UK, but I don’t have knowledge of our country above the Midlands..
Whimsically, I thought that if refugees what to come into the country. Then, maybe we oldies, could come over to France. If only to give them a bit of space.. Would it be to much of a problem to get the French to abandon their archaic language and speak English like the rest of the civilised world..
I don’t ask for much.

A tongue is placed firmly in cheek while typing this.
Or is it?
I must admit it's a good time to own a hotel in the UK as there all full.

Not sure if it is a good idea to walk the circuit if there is a meeting on Del, you can't dodge them like you did as a marshall 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ah! My marshalling days. All seem like a lifetime ago. Funnily, they are still racing the same kit. ‘ Spose that’s what’s meant by Classic Racing Motorcycles.

Parked in an Aire inSt. Jeanne de Marienne. The town isn’t that big, but it’s claim to fame, is it’s surrounded by mountains. So there’s a view in every direction.
My neighbour tonight is having a bad day. Backing in, he hit a bolard. Pulling forward, he stopped to check the damage, a panel had broken off. He tried to fit it back as best he could.
Having done that, he then backed into the same bolard. He, as I type this, he’s trying to refit the same panel.

Was Betty not there to guide Frank in del

Did it all by himself.
I would have helped. But my French is more industrial than the locals use.
How do you say, left hand down a bit, non, non, right hand up a bit 🫢?

France is like the UK upside down.

In the UK London and the south east take all the money and have higher population, so Scotland and the north of England are far less crowded.

In France, Paris and the North take all the money and have higher population, so the south is less crowded. And the population is indeed overall less crowded, but there are plenty of crowded, squalid and dangerous places in France.

The European Court of Human Rights is an International Court of the Council of Europe that has jurisdiction across the EU. Its function was partly drafted by Sir David Maxwell Fyfe, an English Barrister, born in Scotland. Every EU Member State has an appointed Judge,...
As far as I know, the ECHR has nothing to do with the EU. It just happens that they share quite a few member states.

The European Court of Human Rights, which enforces the European Convention on Human Rights, is the best known body of the Council of Europe. The Council of Europe (CoE) (French: Conseil de l'Europe, CdE) is an international organisation founded in the wake of World War II to uphold human rights, democracy and the rule of law in Europe.[11] Founded in 1949, it now has 46 member states, covering a population of approximately 700 million, and operates with an annual budget of approximately 500 million euros.[12]

The organisation is distinct from the 27-nation European Union (EU), although it is sometimes confused with it, partly because the EU has adopted the original flag of Europe created by the Council of Europe in 1955,[13] as well as the anthem of Europe.[14] No country has ever joined the EU without first belonging to the Council of Europe.[15] The Council of Europe is an official United Nations observer.[1

It’s funny how the heavies always try to get involved in a light hearted thread.
The word “whimsy” was alluded to on the first post.
How this ever got anything to do with the EC goodness only knows.
I’d say to anyone who wishes a political debate, start your own thread
Hijacking this one, you’ve opened yourselves to prove that, you’re neither clever or important.
Nowt better to do.?

On a more serious note how is the haircut holding up.
Don’t think that there’s a employment opportunity here any time soon.
But as I got it right first time. I’ll probably not have to do it again 😳
No? Okay, but next time, I’ll have more than a Van mirror to work with
