That’s not a hobby that’s true art. Amazing the work in those wood carvings every one is a gem love the box with the ribbon must take hours for every wee detail.

Thank you Wully. They’re not carved, they’re made up of individual small pieces cut with the scrollsaw, then shaped with a sander, then glued together. The best analogy I have heard is 3D marquetry.

love the two horses as well. I can’t even draw a horse the detail in the harness is great. Every one of them has something special I’ve not got the patience or that type of skill so when I see something made by hand I appreciate the work that’s gone into it.
