No idea if same people Tony, the gent said they ordered the beast 2+ year ago, I’m sure he said they picked it up earlier this year, for a big motor at over 5000kgs, Fiat base, and wait for it, 2.3, 180hp nine speed box engine.Probably met them at one of my son’s party’s in Guernsey a year back. We were speaking to a nice couple who had a Cathargo and they were saying how it required a police escort when they wanted to drive it from their home to catch the ferry to St Malo. It really is too big for the island and only can be used when travelling abroad. I seem to recall they had a teenage daughter who was a great horse fan (as our Guernsey granddaughter is)
Possibly not but I can’t imagine many folk have beasts like that on such a small island. Do you know if it replaced a similar van?No idea if same people Tony, the gent said they ordered the beast 2+ year ago, I’m sure he said they picked it up earlier this year, for a big motor at over 5000kgs, Fiat base, and wait for it, 2.3, 180hp nine speed box engine.
His dad was from Leith, Edinburgh.
No idea if they had a previous camper. I’ll remember the donkey and beans, noted for the future!Possibly not but I can’t imagine many folk have beasts like that on such a small island. Do you know if it replaced a similar van?
Just for interest if it ever comes up in a pub quiz folk who have been born and bred in Guernsey are called “donkeys”. This is not an impolite term. (Jersey folk are called beans!
