Now back in La Belle France at Ronchamp, parked up at Le Corbusier’s famous chapel with 3 other vans. Been a lovely day hitting 25°. This was the lunch stop on the Pass …….

Moved up to Brittany now and the sun seems to have followed us. Gorgeous evening and the awning has had to be deployed to keep us cool while we barbecue on a FP site near Sarzeau. Hope Gordon (Laird) has managed to find the sun in France now?

Lovely morning in Ronchamp if you are interested in modern architecture its free to overnight here ................ spent some time wandering around the chapel itself.


Then some more miles towards home, currently on the aire in Toul, full services including electric for 7€ for 24 hrs. Can't say we are thrilled by the town, but the marina adjacent to the aire is pleasant enough. It has stayed dry but clouded over and 22°.

The forecast suggested 17 degrees. It's actually 21 degrees with a bright blue sky and the lightest westerly breeze.

I'm wasting it working in the garden, whilst Yvonne is hard at work chatting at "Stitch & *****". My ears are burning.

Lovely start in Charleville-Mezier so decided to chill for a couple of hours before tucking some more northern miles under our belts. Been sunny intervals all day with a high of 22°. Now at Orlieux for the night. Decided on a slight detour to Lille in the morning. We need two replacement inner frames and screens for Dometic mini heki rooflights. Can't find them cheaper than around £120 from UK dealers, the accessory shop in Lille has them for €64 ........... crazy!!

Enjoyed his starter and the wine . Then scarpered, before the main course arrived.
