Another mild but cloudy day in London. ??

Damp and murky this morning but looks promising for a dry bright day after the mist clears in Cheshire.

As promised I've checked out the smug filter and have to report that there is a problem despite (in fact possibly because of) the recent service. One of the seals is damaged where the housing attaches to the main body resulting in a relatively large leak. I've contacted the guy who did the service but he won't come out over the holiday.
I've located a seal but it will take some days to be shipped from the UK, by which time I will have moved on. Putting all this together means that I'll be without an effective smug filter until I return to the Beautiful Island. Apologies to all who will suffer as a result.
No wonder Paul has major difficulties in this area.

Yesterday was a lovely warm day (at times hot) with plenty of blue. Today started with cloud but that is now gradually thinning and the temperature is rising rapidly.
On a positive note at least the filter has managed to hold back a rather good photo which some may have found disturbing!

Today at Glasson Dock Lancaster damp, very dull, been out with Roxy been round the Canal basin on the tops that overlook Morecambe bay slightly misty supposed to clear up later for our daily stroll

Afternoon and it’s dry here near Durham the sun has disappeared and hopefully it’ll be back tomorrow!

Mmm. I've checked mine, it's Chinese and fragile.
I emptied it, cleaned it with WD40 and hope it holds together,while I'm on here.
Busy, cold cloudy morning, preparing for a lunch party . Sun broke through at 11.00 , too hot for coffee with brandy. Our two houseguests worked like Trojans. All was in place when the guests arrived at 1.00. We sat outside until 5.
A lovely afternoon. The booze -laced pears and Firewater Medronho mousse did their work splendidly.
10 degrees now, 8 later.
Still no rain forecast.

Winds changed from SE to NW... That's unexpected.
Fluffy white clouds becoming less fluffy and greyer..

Could be interesting.
Still 17 in the shade, 28 in the sun.... But....!

We have just traveled home from Glasson Dock Lancasaster to re-charge the batteries for the New Years House Party, it was foggy in all the surrounding fields while we traveled all the way on the motorway to Milnrow Lancashire, its a grey, damp & still day probably stay the same until dark falls in

This morning I went out on the bike under a blue sky with a barely perceptible southerly breeze:



This afternoon the breeze has turned and now comes from the north. There's no need whatsoever to be concerned about the efficacy of the smug filter:
