A beautiful morning at Shap, it wasn’t even cold last night.

Oh, but it was cold, walking through The village at 12.30, this morning, after an evening in the village hall, for a concert of folk groups from surrounding villages , singing traditional seasonal carols.
.
They make a big deal of Three Kings..Twelfth Night.
We go as token foreigners, to keep the Mayor happy.. And our lane repaired.
The locals make us very welcome..But we were shivering in the 6 degrees. The hall isn't heated!
Love sunny day, blue sky birdsong, but will chill down again tonight.

A lovely day on the Thames estuary today. About 8°C and pretty much still air.
So I walked down to Old Leigh with the Grandsprogs and Harry the dog:

What with the late night and a modestly largeish G&T with lunch... I got stretched out on the lounger. Nodded off for about an hour... Face down.

Mainly grey up above Hertfordshire this morning though bits of blue are developing nicely.
It's chilly right now at about 7 degC with a high forecast of perhaps 11 degC.
That'll do me for early January..
