Weather Report..................

Hope it continues for you... But...
Steady on Trixie...You might have to buy a smug filter, too.. In fact you can borrow mine, I don't need it.
10 degrees at 8 am. Sunshine and clouds. . No rain expected today.

A wonderful warm, sunny day here in the Champagne region. We've now arrived at our wild camp in the forest surrounding Lac du Der-Chantecoq:

......and walked down to the lake shore:

Then we ate more prawns than necessary.
Oh, and the light has softened this evening.
The young beech leaves are literally glowing.

Without any hint of smugness...
It's a glorious day.
Mid 20s ... Calm... Everything that should be blue and gold is.
You'd have thought that we'd never had the foul weather over the previous 3days.
Until you look at the poor flowerbeds on the north of the Hovel..
The hailstones knackered our Nasturtiums,Bu99ared our Begonias ... The Fuscias.... ?
Don't even ask !
Quiet day planned now.
Had to cancel an invitation to a Brunch party, Management had a rough night.
I'll just have to sit in the sunshine.

It was a lovely start to the day in the forest by Lac du Der-Chantecoq with the early sun filtering through the trees..
So we've driven south towards the Loire.
We're now at our wild camp for tonight by a weir on a tributary of the Loire.
It's not too crowded:

.............and I'm feeling rather Laizy - so that's where we're stopped.

Colin ???

Another glorious day.
25 degrees, meant breakfast under the sunshade. Some little rain offered, overnight.. That'll do.

Research shows that we should expect to be off the road for another 3 weeks. We're making plans, accordingly.
Thankfully, we're OK for water and friends are helping out when we need shopping.
Looking like Jenny has got a relatively mild dose of the shingles.
Can't think of a nicer place to be marooned.
