Calm warm period forecast for the next 10 days.
It's a cracking day, but we're having to irrigate the garden.
I'll buy Jenny a bigger watering can for her birthday..

Many local roads are flooded or closed. This is most unusual as it does rain nearly every day. It’s still pouring.

Bill been out and about today and your right roads flooded everywhere even the M8 is flooded in places drains not coping with the volumes.Its gonna be a tricky drive home for some folks.

Our temporary silence due to a family gathering at a big barn near Monmouth for the last four days. Have to say we have never seen flooding like it, hard to distinguish roads and fields at times. Monmouth lost its water supply and Severn Water reacted brilliantly hooking up road tankers to standpipes to keep everyone supplied.

Back in Cheshire, and yes, it’s still raining .............

It’s still deluging and we’re more or less marooned as just about all the roads from our village have flooding. Went 5 miles up the road in a 4x4 earlier and conditions were horrendous. Some major roads are closed.

Not quite as dire as yesterday in that it’s regular very heavy showers as opposed to the incessant deluge, winds of 50mph too. Still lots of local roads closed and flooded. 🌬

It was quite breezy overnight and this morning we've had rain.
Now the sun has come out to play in a blue sky and it really does look rather attractive across Hertfordshire.
So ......... to cycle or not to cycle, that is the question.
