Weather Report..................

The breeze is a mere whisper compared to the 65kph gusts we had yesterday here in Herts. [ And yes, I can confirm that strong wind can make a cyclist go backwards ].
The sun is out with a few white fluffy clouds wandering north-west to south-east. Later today the temperature should get to about 20°C, though it actually feels warmer than that already when out of the breeze.
Then this week's forecast looks.......

......... boringly consistent.
I'm still in awe of Paul. How on earth does he cope with such conditions?
Years of practice, a rock-steady constitution and diligence of application, I suspect.

Colin 🙂🙂🙂

Calmed down to a breeze in Cheshire but it’s wall to wall grey with a promise of some brightness later, currently about 15 degrees with the cloud cover. No sign of any significant rain for another week, the sprinklers are going to get some use again ......

Bank holiday weather ?
No change here..
Except I've been instructed to put my Sunday Speedos on.
I didn't realise that it is Sunday.
No threat of any decorating.. The paint would dry on the brush.
Must go and check that the G&T making supplies are in the fridge...
And the tall glasses are in the freezer.
It's all go..!

Chin chin Paul, just poured ours, the skies cleared about 3.00 pm and it’s wall to wall blue now, getting ready for another ☀️ day tomorrow 👍👍

Gently sizzling here under ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ as the temperature moves gently beyond 20 degrees with enough breeze to make it very pleasant, better stop I’ve left the smug filter in the house .........
You can have mine, Dave..
I'm hoping not to need it ..
If we're all going to have a splendid summer..
I can't find the Portuguese words for hosepipe ban.
If they get 5 consecutive rainless days in Altrincham..
They start unpacking the standpipes..
Balmy 22 degrees as the sun goes down.
We're under a fresh new moon. Glass of iced grog, Sudokus and Rachmaninoff on the radio.
Mustn't grumble.

If this settled weather keeps up Paul I‘m going to find a recording of cicadas and dream ..............

They are quiet at the moment.. lots of visiting birds are looking for a meal.
Another couple of weeks will make a difference.
It's amazing how the noise starts with just one piping up.. Within seconds, the whole hillside is a massed choir .. It rises to an ear shattering crescendo, then an orderly diminuendo, as if there's a conductor.
It brings to mind a football crowd chant.. Who starts and directs them.?

From August it gets quieter during the day and we get solos ,after dark, through to about February.
I'll try to post some audio for you.

Weather.. ?
Nothing surprising.. just a perfect Easterly breeze at regular intervals.
