Weather Report..................

4 degrees but not raining and the wind has dropped! There's a rumour that temperatures could soar to 8 degrees briefly this afternoon during a sunny spell ... Unlikely that the Co op will need the 'Sun tan lotion; max 2 per customer' sign though (y)

Surprise light rain shower, 6 degrees overnight. Not enough to change the drought situation.
Winds blew up and changed from mild SW to cool, gusty Northerly.
Max 16 forecast, but wind chill may necessitate brandy at coffee time.
It's bright, breezy and nippy .
Management suggests a little light gardening if the soil is damp enough.

Your dusty soil are our mud pies. There's a reason everything in Scotland is so lush and green ... (y)

Bright sunshine at home but 15 minutes drive away at the top of the Cairn o’Mount road things look a bit different (excuse poor photo from the conservatory - too much reflection from the sun!)

Last time we stayed on that car park the gritter kindly arrived at 8am which enabled us to continue our trip!

A few years back the council closed the road for a month as the gritter drivers refused to go over it after a gritter slipped and overturned. The driver jumped out, broke his ankle and had to be taken off by helicopter! I’m not sure that the car in my photo above is really meant to be parked there either!
