Weather Report..................

Just arrived on CS near Penrith on route to Scotland.
Windy, wet and cold. Covering of snow on route on stainmore and very cold. Will check weather forecast later before heading up to Skye and beyond and may alter plans.

Popped down to stay with daughter and family in Penicuik last night so the ladies could go to see Dick and Angel Strawbridge in Edinburgh while us menfolk had a beer or two at home whilst “babysitting”! This morning had a lovely walk up to Flotterstone Reservoir in bright sunshine but quite a cold wind. Home now and it’s still sunny here in NE Scotland and my solar has given me between 7 and 9 kW per day for the past few days - not bad for early February.

3rd day in a row that the Leisure Battery has gone into Float mode, even though it is is pulsing a charge every 10 seconds to the Starter Battery via the Ablemail AMT12 Relay, which I'm beginning to understand and feel more relaxed with . There hasn't been that much clear sun, just short spells from behind the cloud bank, but the extra daylight has made a significant difference to the Solar output

Beautiful day up here, just right for a walk round Crathes Castle Estate. And in case you’re wondering the fallen tree is at least 150 years old (Sue got fed up with counting after that!), and there’s plenty more like that down, so sad.

4 degrees, gusting wind, sunshine and showers and snow forecast for later. We seem to have missed out on the plague and pestilence, so we can't claim a Full House, so we'll settle for a season's best.

Need to make a running repair to the Sun Lounge roof where the driving rain has penetrated a screw in roof panel seal. It's more or less dead centre, so a PITA to reach. It's a 3 minute job [as long as the old screw doesn't snap], but ladder access and crawling board set up makes it 1/2 hour minimum!

After overnight rain in East Sussex, it's bright and dry, but cooler than yesterday at 8 °. There is a good chance of a -2° frost tonight.
