Forget the weather! How's the Great Diesel Hunt in Blackpool? That's the important stuff ...Wall to wall sunshine again in Blackpool and should remain good as we head North.![]()
No problem, available everywhere, but a record £107 to fill our little van!Forget the weather! How's the Great Diesel Hunt in Blackpool? That's the important stuff ...![]()
Steve
Just looked back on my spreadsheet. First tank of diesel on delivery on 21 April 21 cost £88.34 for 72.00 litres. Going by today's price, that would have increased to £108.65. The trip to Spain is about 1850 miles each way so around £425 each way just for fuel, unless diesel in Spain is a lot cheaper ... 'This is going to hurt', springs to mind ...No problem, available everywhere, but a record £107 to fill our little van!
Tried but to no avail to eyeball you bill glad you got to sunny b pool3 degrees after a frosty night but wall to wall sunshine in Glasgow this morning. Yesterday really was perfect weather for the drive North. Didn’t spot you off on your adventures yesterday Gordon, but a perfect day to start.![]()
You made a wise move! Wind is whipping across from the Forth, blowing light rain/moisture in the air, 'that rain that gets you proper wet ...' as Peter Kay says; quite a wind chill factor too, feeling pure dead Baltic [I made the mistake of washing the car whilst having the M/Home new n/s front tyre balance weight replaced, after the 3 weeks old version fell off last night ...]Morning from a wet Oxford Trout inn car park lovely stop here very nice bear/restaurant car park tarmac and p,entry room one van beside us
we were not going to come this far but the weather was fab so weve stopped here
Did you have problems supplying the API details before the Trip, Gordon? I complained to DFDS when I made the Booking that the website wasn't allowing the uploading of API Data, and had an email reply indicating that I would receive a further email 'a few days before sailing'. 3 days before Sailing date and nothing received. I've emailed the information that I believe that they will require and asked DFDS to confirm that we will be able to Board. They are worse than useless since the COVID service reduction!Nice calm sunny day on the seven seas
