Weather Report..................

Where r u about steve
We're at Valencay, Gordon, on an Aire with a view of the Chateau; but Talleyrand is not looking at our wee Burstner, and saying that that would be a nice place to live (though the fact that he's been dead for over 200 years might have something to do with it ...)

We're about 70 miles SW of Orleans and will be moving on tomorrow about 60 miles to Meung sur Loire, a chateau I visited during my first ever trip to France in 1976! Last 2 weeks in September, and camped at Blois in a 2 man pup tent hired from Townsend Thoresen Ferries and collected from Dover Docks ... I took £170 @ Ffr8.96 for the entire trip, including Chateaux visits, petrol, site fees and top ups of food (boot full of Sainsbury's tinned mince and packets of Smash ... ) 😄

We are at an aire in a small town called Boismé between Poitiers and Cholet. Travelling home after buying a house further south.
Had a terrific thunderstorm last night and torrential rain.
This morning though, it’s dry and the sun is peeking through clouds, hoping for a bit of sunshine later on our drive closer to home.

It's another lovely bright dry day, although there's a small chance of the odd shower by late afternoon.

(Combined report and forecast. (y) :) )

Early morning rain in Valencay for moving on ... Mist and cloud lifted slowly and we arrived at Meung sur Loire to a dry, sun/cloud cocktail of about 23 degrees. Bought a wedge of Fruit Flan and a wedge of Flan Naturel from the Boulanger to celebrate (as if I need an excuse) 😄

All change.
A belter of a spring day.
3 meals and coffee outdoors..
Cleaned out the pump filters and rainwater sumps, because no rain forecast for the next 10 days.
Just checked the latest...
Rain due tomorrow and Wednesday.

Found on FB that someone else more agile got a picture more emphatic of our small dimensions!
