We were a little envious of an aunt in Belford who said she was enjoying ongoing rain yesterday afternoon.

We've parched ground everywhere, utilities are asking us to manage water better than they can, and it's forecast to be very hot and dry again today.

I'm only jealous. We seriously need rain in the South.

We've already cancelled an event on Monday because the forecast suggests it'll top 30 degrees, which is a daft temperature for our lovely maritime climate.

The forecast predicts another uncomfortable, dry day in the South. It was already hot at 07.00 and should reach 34 degrees by early afternoon.

Beautiful morning in Kelso with unbroken blue sky. It’s due to get a bit too warm later but by then we’ll be in Glasgow with a more comfortable 26 degrees.
