A scorcher yesterday still 27° at 19.00, slightly cooler and more breeze today. Now its October the locals here at Montalivet are shutting up shop for winter. Temporary pedestrian areas removed, everyday market closed as well as the bread shop. Spar still open though. On the move tomorrow to Saint-Denis D'Oleron via the ferry to Royan.

Normally we would be heading off to our favourite spot Palm Desert, both our health is preventing this for now. I checked the weather and unusually for the time of year it’s actually a bit too hot just now!

At last the rain has stopped but still windy and 17 degrees. Looking good for the weekend though which is great as we plan to get away in the van for only the second time this year. ️️
