Weak sunshine in Cheshire, around 16° and hoping it will dry out the grass so that silaging can begin later after 5 weeks away.

It's a nice sunny morning up here so I'm down in the van tidying ot up a bit after the Ireland trip, we do try to keep up to it but I can't do much and Liz isn't much better so it needs a good clean when we get home, I normally do it the next day but putting my back out on the ferry then again last week screwed the job up a bit.

We've another dry bright day with light westerlies and 19 degrees. It's now into October and so this Indian Summer can't last much longer.

It's going to remain dry and bright throughout the day. The light westerlies will increase to moderate until the evening when rain will arrive.

I'll swap you for Cheshire weather, raining, cooler .......... autumnal ..... at least I got the grass cut yesterday, local farmers working all day and late evening getting the maize crop in.

Even warmer today (back in Guernsey) after our trip to Herm yesterday. Bright sunshine but luckily a gentle sea breeze to keep us cool. Nearly missed the last boat back last night which would have meant phoning our son and asking him to come over to collect us - don’t think he’d have been best pleased!

Reversal of fortunes over here in Guernsey! Overcast with rain and wind forecast later, but still warmish. Being dragged off to the Renoir exhibition today (apparently the only Renoir exhibition in the world this year).

A mixed day. Overnight and early morning rain which cleared away in time for lunch, topped off with a light westerley breeze and 17 degree high. Good enough for decorating.
