Take chainsaw and spare battery Tony. Take is easy on the corners too, in case you meet up with a fallen tree.Really wild night - didn’t realise til the news this morning that we’d been upgraded to red warning overnight. Everything seems ok but a bit nervous about driving down to Liverpool today to check on Sue’s dad.
Viewing Scottish morning news Tony, although a tough call, I would consider cancell trip for at least 24 hours, lots of hazards and chaos out there at this time.Really wild night - didn’t realise til the news this morning that we’d been upgraded to red warning overnight. Probably be the only time you'd rock the vanEventually fell asleep this morning, been a good while since experiencing such a violent storm. Would have been an interesting night if out in the MH.
The only time your van rocks is when Fiona is wrestling with you to remove your wallet from your back pocket!! Mr sqeek sqeek.Probably be the only time you'd rock the van

I'm freeNo another one Terry. If this keeps up I’ll have to get somebody to help carry my wallet.
Hopefully M6 will be open tomorrow and then we can get an easy trip onwards to Liverpool. Quite a kerfuffle especially as unfortunately when we Sue‘s dad in the care home he doesn’t know who we are these days. But we feel the obligation to see him every now and again. Still very windy on the slopes of Shap tonight.Good to hear you are both safe and sound. It is a difficult call to make, thankfully paid of for you. Tonights news, another storm to roll in tomorrow!
