HMMMM......very muh a difference in weather today............big temp drop........may .ave t.get ..ot watter bockle out again.....grey sky...rain.........tell..yer....yee .ave t.get the benefits of .currant bun whilst its out.
hope it brightens up for those at rutland meet......
at least the gardens are getting a drink............forgot to say its quite windy also........

After being dry since we set off from home nearly two weeks ago and a sunny morning it’s showers here in Llangollen for now.

Rutland Water is grey.
So are the clouds.
So am I.
Oh, and we've had showers and occasionally a stiff breeze.
So we went for a walk alongside The Water to the sailing club and back. It was surprisingly warm and humid but enjoyable.

Turned out a nice warm afternoon so we had a walk along the canal. It was quite busy. We used to come in the Autumn to avoid the crowds when we boated.

I remember many years ago when I worked for Shropshire Union Cruisers
The hire boats usually headed for Llangollen and often one would have a problem, usually hirer caused, and me or a colleague would drive up and sort out
Once I had to jump in and sort a jammed rudder ?
Do you remember the Iona horse drawn boat at Norbury Junction

I don’t remember the one at Norbury Junction, but they still run one from Llangollen to Horseshoe Falls.

Quiet evening on the upper terrace...
30 degrees, no breeze
Piriwe piri chicken brought from the gipsy market, as Jenny couldn't manage the walk to and from. Alentejo red wine working it's usual miracle.. I feel no pain, Jenny too.
Earlier, we saw a hawk takeand a Golden Oriole.. It went very quiet.
All we have to listen to, is a solitary Nightingale... He could be next on the hawk menu...?

It's very breezy this morning in Rutlandshire with fluffy white clouds racing across the sky.
The wind chill has kicked in but in a sheltered spot behind the Moho it was certainly warm enough for breakfast.
So it was Marmite soldiers and a soft boiled egg for me (inspired by Annie's comments yesterday).

I'd better not tell you that it was 34 degrees on the terrace at breakfast.. Made bearable by a delightful easterly breeze.

A gentle breeze and about 15 degC right now in Hertfordshire.
It's dry, though some showers could arrive this afternoon.
So there's a wash load out in the garden bobbing on the air waves.

After a blowy night.. Mercifully cool, it's gentle, 29 degrees and cloudless blue sky.
Still waiting for the AA recovery truck...

Athens, hot and sunny with the same forecast tomorrow. We did see an hour of showers in Zante yesterday though.

Just like to add only saw 1 motorhome on Zante and it was a Hymer Exsis A class, in the main town itself near to the open water of the ferry terminal. It had seen better days.
