Yup, still hammering down, hasn’t stopped all day, roads and drive starting to flood, but hey it’s forecasting ?? tomorrow and for the next few days ?

A lot of cloud today but very mild and the rain stopped at midday. Beautiful evening now, hard to imagine the incredible wind was only this morning.

Dry underfoot.. That's the good news.
We set off for the Midlands tomorrow.. They are bringing tram replacement buses for us, specially to make the trip more interesting.

It was chucking it down as I drifted off to sleep last night in Hertfordshire.
Then this morning I woke to a clear sky - and yes, I'm still in Hertfordshire!
There's apparently little chance of daytime rain for the rest of the weekend so for the next couple of days my activity pallet is very much something for inspiration and choice.

We're going to a garden party this afternoon, hopefully the sunny weather we have at the moment will stay all day.

Replacement bus got us to Picadilly faster than the tram would..
.Breezy, but the sun broke through. I had to rummage through the luggage, to locate my sunglasses and dust them off.
The train left..ON TIME .. Mind you, we have to change at Wolverhampton... Anything could happen.

Perfect day on the IOM, lovely temperature, clear skies, gentle breeze. Racing practice this evening.

The clouds came but spent more time going (how does that work?) as the morning progressed.
So I went for a longish bike ride around the delightful Hertfordshire lanes, bought some local maize for dinner, collected plenty of juicy, large, sweet blackberries for desert - and worked up quite a sweat for such an elderly example of cyclist.
A really lovely day out and about.
