Yesterday was lovely and sunny in Ramsey, followed by 50m visibility over the mountain, followed by warm sunshine in Douglas. The fog lifted to allow practice though. Absolutely glorious morning on the mountain today for the first race.

Hereford has grey cloud with occasional sunshine. The air is incredibly mild and becoming warmer as the day progresses.
I had a lovely bike ride out along National Cycle Route 46 towards Abergavenny yesterday afternoon and hopefully will do something similar later today.

I think that can be classed as self inflicted pain Paul, and I don’t mean the after effects of several jugs of Speckled Hen, hopeless is too kind for them, where are Ted Dexter and Ken Barrington when you need them ....... ????

Around 5 pm, the little dark cloud turned to cotton wool white.
Probably due to the Speckled Hen..
Lovely calm evening.

Very hot today at the Jurby Festival, unbroken sunshine.
Yesterday was perfect too, maybe a little warm at sea level but very pleasant at Keppel Gate up on the mountain.

It's a still, 15°C start to the day here in Hereford with plenty of blue and a thin layer of high level cloud.
So I'll be pottering towards Wales on the Brompton later today to break the monotony of a totally relaxing day.

For those of you who find even the thought of that yawn-inducing here's a photo of a Silver-Washed Fritillary (aka Brain Probe Butterfly) doing a check on the contents of my head earlier:



As you predicted, even on maximum sensitivity it could find nothing of interest in there.

I remember an earlier Uk bank holiday this year when the Uk basked in sunshine and we had gales in western Brittany
Now Uk has a sunshine bank holiday and we have rain again in Spain

i remember being in France similar areas to OTHERS who had the misfortune to have terrible weather took shelter at chateaudun we were about 48 hours behind and we’re always met with glorious weather never had or did have very little rain until Rouen I think just yer luck ?
