Update for Hertfordshire - hold the front page!
The sun eventually pushed the clouds back to where they belong and the red fluid has been expanding vigorously from the thermometer bulb. It's probably about 23°C now that I've finished fiddling with the Moho and had an overdose of salad for lunch.
So........ some statutory exercise is in order.

Well having aerated and scarified the back lawn as you do when on lockdown, I overseeded yesterday on the basis of a cloudy showery forecast for today. Mmmmmmm, not complaining but it didn’t happen, wall to wall sunshine, better than yesterday so the sprinkler is out .... anyone mention a hosepipe ban yet

Same forecast for today.. 6mm of drizzle over the day. No sign of it.
So why am I in my Speedos, on the terrace, eating a huge, succulent orange.
Jenny is standing by, with a bucket of water, to swill me down when I've finished.

Update in Cheshire too, blue replaced by a bank of grey that has every appearance of being here for the day, still can’t complain it’s dry for now and we do need some rain (wearing my gardner’s hat ) ................ I never thought I’d say that after the last few months !!

Happy Easter, fellow weather watchers.
Hertfordshire started the day blue and warm at about 12°C. It's still blue but considerably warmer at about 23°C as we head towards lunchtime.
So for me it's more of those jobs that have been postponed over the course of half a lifetime then exercise in the sunshine this afternoon.
As a much-respected watcher of Portuguese weather has been known to comment: "Mustn't grumble - or crumble".

Good lunch.
No rain.
The first Nightingale arrived this morning.. Singing away in the Carob tree.
We thought it was a Thrush with big ideas.. then it launched into the full orchestration.. Gorgeous, but we hope it moves on, before nightfall.
A Golden Oriole passed by..
They can be noisy, too.

We had plenty of heavy rain showers, lightning and thunder last evening over Hertfordshire.
Right now it's dry, overcast and breezy out there, though later today the weather is forecast to revert to sunshine.
My fingers are crossed - I'm not bored with sunshine just yet.
