Yesterday we managed some hedge cutting in dry conditions before the Stihl gave up the ghost again. Today its wet and breezy so a bit of manshed tidying is in order.
Today we drove along the south coast from Pevensey to Seaford via Beachy Head. It was pi$$ing it down on the drive here and it's continued pi$$ing it down in Seaford today.
Then just before sunset this happened:
The sea wall adjacent to our overnight stop has gaps which allow pedestrians access onto the beach. This afternoon the local Council have placed flood shutters in the gaps in anticipation of high tide at 2045 this evening.
Annie has her wellies and cossie on just in case and Bill has crammed himself into a wetsuit and flippers.
I, on the other hand, have gone for the Red Beauties.
Forewarned is forearmed.
Light rain at the moment but some very heavy showers from time to time. Would love to get away in the van but because we are in a high covid area are advised to stay (strangely) in the area bounded by our local health board.
🌧🌧
Boringly calm and mild until next Wednesday.
We're getting itchy feet.
Tempted to put an overnight bag in the car and head north.
Anyone know anything about Almodovar ?
Seaford, East Sussex, was wet, windy and very much rock-n-roll throughout the night.
So we've come to Lee-on-Solent, Hampshire, where at least for the moment it's much brighter and the Rain Gods are taking a coffee break.

Not too bad a day in Aberdeen as we wandered the streets waiting for the NOX sensor on the van to be replaced. Mighty cold wind though. Never got down to the harbour to see if Gordon (the Laird) had arrived in his truck though as we were warmly ensconced in the coffee shop!!
