Not raining but damp ground and fairly mild in West Lothian and central belt

It's a lovely day here in Hertfordshire with plenty of blue overhead and a gentle breeze.
Today's bike ride around the lanes was a real joy, with plenty of hills to test my legs and the newly rebuilt folding pedal.
Both survived.

Lovely sunny morning then clouded over early afternoon with a shower or two. Kept entertained by the tree surgeons who came to remove a mature silver birch which was dying back. Good job too, when they sliced the bottom of the main stem it had a big hole in the middle.

That wood looks like it needs to be used for something artistic! It's beautiful shapes and colours.

Glorious, calm bright winter day.
14 max expected.
Rain brought forward to Saturday, so we might get the Xmas market, on Sunday.
We need Chicken piri piri, rough red wine... And some winter clothes that fit.

Very grey and breezy in Cheshire, rain forecast for later, now there's a surprise !! No Paul, we knew the tree has been dying back over the last few years but not the extent of the internal rot at the base, turned out the hole only extended for about 2' up from the base.

The brilliant blue of yesterday has been replaced with a gruesome grey today.
And a strong breeze.
And intermittent rain.
So I'll be baking rather than cycling.

I wanted a for the compliment and a for the weather downgrade in CTL.
The limitations of the posting system can certainly cramp one's ability to express feelings by instant character.
I guess that Shigetaka Kurita had no idea quite what he was starting back in 1999.

If we could get 2 nights of this a week, throughout the year.....
We'd really be in Paradise.

Very nice, gentle rain, though.. glugging into the cisterns
Long, luxury " Hotel ", showers for us....
Looking fair for tomorrow's market..
The whole village is holding it's breath.
