Didn't put all the junk back
In the pumphouse, after the Plumber went.
Planned to clean it out then paint it today...
Average August rainfall here is 0.0 mm

It pitter pattered at 3 am, with a half- hearted thunderstorm..
A freak event. Not enough to dampen the tiles.
Watered round at dawn..

Another Forecast after lunch..
It's drizzling now.
We refuse to go indoors.

No need to be sad, Guys...
We've had an excellent day.
Coffee time inside, first time for 3 months .
All meals outside.. and wearing not too much.
It pitter- patted at some stage of each meal.... We just sat there and relished the cool drops on our bodies.
Pleasant afternoon siestas and a max of only 35..
Cool calm evening
Jazz on the radio
Mustn't grumble.
While we've had a great day, tomorrow looks to be back to August normal.

After another overnight low of 20 degrees 😲 today's forecast is for blue skies, a gentle breeze, and 33 degrees. ☀️☀️☀️
 
Can you send some of that badly needed rain up here please as we still have blue sky and sunshine? We are having to feed our poor sheep and it’s costing me money!
 
Stopped here at the moment, very dark, I will try and push some in your direction, Tony.

The brae was like a river, bridged flooded, typical useless Midlothian Clowncil, roads gullies chocked with weeds and other debris. You would think the obvious, lets clean gullies while the weather is good. Common senses does not prevail at Midlothian Clowncil, especially here where all access roads into town are at bottom of a hill with a bridge to cross.
 
Tony, you dont want them standing when the lightning kicks off, mind you, save you cooking them o_O

Back in early July we were sitting at the Tesla Newbridge superchargers before heading for Penicuik. Our daughter phones and says don’t move for the time being, all roads round her house are flooded as are parts of the Edinburgh bypass due to flash flooding. No sign of any rain at Newbridge. We wait for half an hour and everything clear again. As you say just clear the gulleys when the weather is good - problem solved.
 
After a humid night the temperature should be a little lower today, remaining warm and dry, with a 25 degree high.

Our much needed rain is anticipated to be on its way, possibly tomorrow, and that should top up the water butts nicely. 👍
