But sunbathing is not wise.

Sitting outside the bakery, the shade, is definitely wiser.
Chin Wagging, drinking cold beer, is a much better strategy.

It's not going to rain this morning they said, and so I went for a walk. It absolutely tipped down and I was soaked. I kept walking, the sun came out, and I dried again. The smell of wet vegetation is beautiful.

It's remained cloudy, but is currently dry, and with a pleasant 19 degree high.

East Sussex has received a 'Yellow Warning' for gusting winds and thundery showers throughout the day. It suggests delays to roads, ferries, & other transport, tree damage, loss of power etc, etc, all of which we've seen here before.

The good news is that it'll be warm with a 19 degree high, and so later, we're off to see a granddaughter in a production.

We've a lovely recently widowed friend who lives near Dumfries on her own. Much if her time is spent trotting across the fields to check her level of fresh.

She's tough as old boots and has no intention of leaving. Long may she roam.

Difficult to believe for some of you I know but in Aberdeenshire we have had nothing but sunshine today! Got a huge amount of work done outside in the smallholding and the domestic solar and Powerwall storage battery have really worked well today. Still sittting with a full battery even after using loads of power in the house and charging up both EV’s - thankyou Mr Sunshine. Haven’t used any peak time power from the grid today.
