What did you do to your van today?

Ordered a new Mattress for delivery when we get back from the current trip; still finalising the additional Leisure Battery and electrics upgrade inc new Solar Panel with work somewhere between end of March and mid-April, depending on the arrival date of the shipment and whether the US pirate ships try to nick the cargo ...

Got in it...and drove South! To get away from the hurricane damage...decided where to actually go en route...

Should have stayed in Moncofa! When the Orange & Yellow Wind warnings passed, we headed for the promenade, expecting to see the beach spread all over it; barely a grain of sand dislodged, BUT there was a crowd (well, over 100 ...) on the beach and breakwaters watching 5-6 dolphins shooting the breeze and just leaving clear of the water about 50 -100m from shore, but swimming parallel to it. A pure delight to watch - just a pity that the school was dispersed too widely and too far for the phone camera to get any piccies ...

And, unlike those in the 4th book of the trilogy by Douglas Adams, 'The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy', *our* dolphins didn't leave a goodbye note thanking us for all the fish ... 😀

Permanently solved our cutlery draw from inconveniently coming open when driving after the last quick bodge finally failed. Cleaned the seal on the main rooflight as it was trying to glue itself shut.

Took battery out and charged it as there wasnt enough power to crank it at starting speed.
I thought the cab battery was meant to stay charged with the 240v hook up 🤔.

Filled it with fuel after a wasted trip to the Camra who were closed (need papers for insurance) . At least I got the cheapest diesel in our area which made me feel a bit better! Started filling the garage with boxes of wine to take back to UK. Hoping we can get our annual oil change in at the local Portuguese garage...go there each year as they only charge for the oil and labour is free! Due any day now.

Mostly that's not the case. The built-in charger often only charges the hab batteries.

A small smart charger is about £20 from Lidl (sometimes) or £25 elsewhere. If your starter battery is running down, it's a good investment.

The church where my first marriage took place in 1974 was decommissioned, and sold to an Undertaker who used it to as a workshop for his vehicles (true!)

So it became both a place to have an aisle change so that the hearse could have an oil change ... 😁

Fixed our gas hob. One burner was only operating low until the jet was poked through. Another burner would not stay lit too well but a wiggle of the thermocouple connector cured it.
