What made you smile today.

Little Spanish man running aire just outside Cartagena, Manuel by name and nature!!!!
bless him
nice place/set up and would certainly return if passing in future.

A lady on a tram today told me that I look like Dick Van Dyke. Oh well, a change from the usual George Clooney ?

The moth that has just flown in and is sitting looking at the screen while I type - must have left my wallet open.

The hissing of the air as it races over the aerofoil of the kite made me smile.

I haven't flown the kite for almost a year and had forgotten just how hard it can pull. It was quite a workout for 30 minutes or so and the short ski rides across the sand really exhilarating.

My granddaughter saying that I was the best nanna in the world and Malcolm was the best grandad in the world and that she loves us to the moon and back brought a tear to my eyes!

These kite surfers made me smile this afternoon. They are so acrobatic on the surf.
And fast.

I wish that that sort of hardware was around when I was their age. I'd love to have made a complete spectacle of myself trying to move forward over the sea.
Oh well.

The signage on this van I was following in St Albans earlier today made me smile:

commonwealth day today...watching service from westrminster abbey........tv caught a little girl sat innocently picking her nose during the service......cute

I've been trying to get fitter this year so have been out on the bike most days.
Today the weather was lovely and I'm feeling at least slightly fitter so I decided to cycle out and join one of the bike rides run by my old cycling club.
It was great to meet old friends (emphasis on the old!) and catch up.
I smiled for most of the 60km!

This host of golden daffodils (with thanks to Bill Wordsworth) made me smile rather a lot today.
The blackthorn in the hedge at the back of the photo is about to challenge the yellow with it's display of white.
