What was the very first car or motorcyle you ever drove/rode?

1969 Hand painted Vespa 150

1968 Ford Escort 1300 GT (white with black vinyl roof, rev counter etc) which I used to borrow age 15 while my Dad was snoozing of an evening.

A 1949 BSA C11 bought for £3- 10s in 1966.
A 1965 Reliant Regal can't remember the price from dealer in 1969.
I always fancied a C11 or C12, just a nice looking bike, the aesthetics have always been important for me.

And I had two Regal vans, loved the fun you could have scaring folk who've never done a roundabout on two wheels, I think I'd buy another perhaps.

Hmm!! wish I'd kept mine.

I had a pal who party trick was to drive his Reliant three wheeler on two wheels around the bends beneath Box Hill. Absolutely no H&S back in those days. 😳

It takes zero effort to get it up there, keeping it there is an art, I used to do the same on me combi.
riding an outfit at speed in a V formation is great fun, especially if you have a view of the drivers face in vehicles you approach and pass lol

Well, it was, don't know if I have the strength and skill any more lol

1976 suzuki 250 gtm (which later became an off road "bitsa" -see photo) followed by a dozen or more incl. BSA A10, Yamaha XS650 ( later attached to a Monza sidecar... often lifted the chair wheel, just showing off really)

Ah that's just reminded me of when I worked on a petrol station. A lad used to come in with a regal that he had " modified" big rear wheels and self made arches, austin healy engine had been shoe horned in. We used to encourage him to do a "burn" when he left the forecourt. The look on customers faces when he left dragster like in a cloud of smoke was brilliant. Sadly he ended up splitting it in half, a 😱bit too much power
