Who's Awake

Morning all, looks like a nice day today. Maybe our muddy walk will dry out soon and be less treacherous. Coming down the tracks yesterday was like a mudslide! All the Portuguese are out doing last minute pruning of their olives and fruit trees, or tying back the vines. Most of the log collecting seems done. They all use the local almanac to govern when things are done. We just copy them, as didn't get one this year. Daffodils are out in abundance and the camillias are nearly finished. Feeling good things are on their way!

Morning all, been up for a while drinking tea. Lovely day out there, temperature starting to rise already ( from 6c-10c in an hour) Hopeful for morning coffee/ tea and cake in terrace later. Neighbour wants me to collect eggs from her later, so I guess she has run out of cake....don't think they have had flapjack before, be interesting to see if she likes it. Chocolate is their favourite. Think some homemade chorizo will also be on the cards as she was using the smokeroom for pork last few days. 😋
Don't need to go to the shops some days, our little hamlet can supply a lot!

Morning, had no real plans today. Opened front door and there is half a chicken and two dozen eggs. From one of our neighbours who is diabetic and always wants low sugar cakes and pancakes, so I guess I will be making some in a bit.. Left flapjack and chocolate cake with a different one yesterday....given a dozen eggs and wine! Scotch eggs, omelettes and lemon curd ( brave the rain to pick lemons) will be made also to use up some of the spare eggs. And soup with chicken.....You couldn't starve here if you tried! :D

I see the weather is getting much better!
I'll be off for a break in the van soon! Maybe this weekend if the weather holds up.
I think everywhere is closed still, so it's wild camping for the moment!
