Who's Awake

Oh bad luck hippy. I remember having trouble with the clock thingy when Martin had a blue badge... my sister too. I never understood why they bother with the clock to be honest... it's either free to park with a blue badge or it's not, irrespective of the time.

Think it says in the Devon leaflet about 3 hours maximum on yellow lines. Don't know if this is the same throughout the country.

Well had results back from X-rays and not good news back is degenerating much faster than it should so that was a shock! They always said I'd end up in a wheelchair hmm ? as for the test for RA they need more blood (vampires)!! Hope everyone is well it hasn't stopped raining ☔️ here today!!

They told me 20 odd years ago that, because of my back problem, I would spend the rest of my life in bed, but I'm still plodding on (I've cut out the marathons though ) so don't believe all they tell you Jeanette.

I think it's similar round here Chris but I forget the details now. I just find it all a tad pedantic to give people who need it free parking, then complicate it for them with various restrictions, then give out parking tickets if they get it wrong!

Mind you, the yellow line thing is a bit of a grey area don't you think? It should either be safe to park somewhere or not safe. If not, then no-one should really be allowed to cause a problem or obstruction. I think the parking rules need a major overhaul in this country, like the one being sought for hospitals whose car parks have made millions in the last year! Quite often, it's independent, private companies making a fortune out of people's misfortune and misery. Hospitals in Scotland and Wales don't charge for parking... quite right too!
Sorry, I'll put the soapbox away now :Hear_No_Evil_Monkey:Speak_No_Evil_Monke:See_No_Evil_Monkey_

It does say in the booklet you get that you can park on some yellow lines as long as it’s not causing an obstruction

Do you see what I mean though Annie? That leaves it up to people to decide if it's OK or not whereas it should be clear. If it's perfectly safe to park somewhere and it wouldn't cause an obstruction, then why the heck are the yellow lines there in the first place? Maybe we need another colour for places where we really, really can't park!

Yes as I do find it confusing I parked in Leeds where I thought I was ok for an hour and I got a ticket £35 so yes it’s not clear I find myself looking for a warden to ask if I am ok first.

The ones they are hot on round here are double yellows with the no loading yellow bars. It's the same as MHs there are always some who ruin it for others. I tend to look for parking bays rather than risk it on yellows.

They told me a lot of years ago Chris that I would end up in a wheelchair because of my back, and because my hips and back with the steel rod which is full body length it's knocked my hips out of line, I might stand straight but I walk with my hips swaying so it basically looks as if I'm sashaying my hips if you know what I mean?! Ooh by the way I used to love spangles Chris

The other thing I don’t get about blue badges is why is it free because for me it’s not about paying or not paying it’s about the distance I would have to walk and I’m quite happy to pay the same as everyone else I just can’t walk that far.

v
do pay for csr park on odd tlmes likeannie said it carying stuff and no parking at home as council wont let people who livein town park so they move out snd park here

Morning campers first coffee of the day with 2 flu plus capsules hopefully feel better today and can get some shopping done.

Morning all
Sounds peaceful out there this morning, but forecast to get colder.

Good morning all, How are we all today? are the cold infested people feeling any better?
Key's come down with it pretty bad, poor baby. Phil just sniffles and carries on, seldom does he get a cold bad. I feel a bit under the weather too but nothing to how I was at the beginning of December when I missed the "C" meet (that word I'm not allowed to say because of Hippy).

Up happily packing for tomorrow’s ski trip (not in van) very excited just love skiing. I would go for 3months if other half would agree but no chance of that.
