What did you do to your van today?

sat in the van today whilst it sat on our drive and contemplating whether to sell it or not,(its not been used for 2 months, seems such a waste sat here not being used.

Fitted a new brake master cylinder today. I haven't bled the brakes yet but I will do that tomorrow or Sunday, some things can't be rushed

More or less put everything into my Pilote, great having a garage. More or less filled it lol ! Now just need refillables installing on the 11th of July at Autogas 2000 when in theory I can drive again then I’ll be back out on my adventures. I cannot wait, going crazy not being able to drive.

Removed the private plate as I’m getting the van ready to sell, also cleaned and polished it inside and out.

John.

Fitted new Avtex 21 1/2” pro tv that arrived from Avtex this morning. Jackson’s brought the wrong one last week when they fitted the satellite.
Yes they are expensive but the picture and sound quality are excellent and being the pro version i can watch one channel whilst recording another.

Each to their own of course, and I'm certainly not critical but I would no more put a telly in my van as fly to the moon....

Adapted a thick chopping board to fit on top of the gas hob when travelling...found the rings were apt to clatter when going over speed bumps. Routed out the underside so that the hob fits right into the wood. Fits over sink when hob in use so multipurpose.;)

On our very brief visit home after Moffat we cleaned the outside removing the saharan dust from the recent rain. Hoovered inside. Replaced the halogen lights in the extractor fan over the cooker with leds. Reloaded for our month on the road. England here we come!

Minor spraying to tidy up several items
1 Grey primer/anti-rust spray on metal bar which serves to prevent grounding
2 Respray "corner" of rear-light cluster which had minor scratches
3 similar on corner of wheel arch
4 Spray on edge of inside of window. The paint had worn off on surround/border of window

C'mon PJ... that does imply a teeeeensie bit of criticism ;) I'm by no means wedded to my tv - neither at home nor in the van - but I see no logical reason at all to be without one. Think of it as a tool/piece of equipment that comes in very handy when you need it but can stay tucked away when not needed... like a folding clothes dryer or a hammer. People carry all kinds of weird, random things in case they need them, so I'm not sure why tv's provoke reaction? When you're alone, a tv can be great company on a grim, rainy night, when it's quite the treat to drift off to sleep, snug in bed with the tv on sleep timer. As you say, each to their own :)

Washed it. Who's stupid idea was it to have it resprayed white, it didn't show the muck when it was grey and silver.
