Druridge Bay Country Park Rally 8th-13th August 2019

I am pleased to announce the Druridge Bay Country Park Rally

The meet is for up to 5 nights Thursday 8th - Monday 12th with members leaving on Tuesday 13th at the latest. You may attend for any number of nights, but only on these days.

This meet costs £8 per unit per night.

This will be a large meet. It is not possible for everyone to sit around the same campfire, so we will not be having the main fire. If you want a fire you will need to bring your own firepit and fire blanket. All fire pits must be raised off the ground and the grass must be protected.

This meet will be held in the main field but there will be quieter places if you prefer that. Places are first to come first parked.

Limited to 70 motorhomes

The Laird has offered to bring some Stornoway black pudding to the Druridge meet:

Full bung around £16
Half bung around £8
1/4 bung around £3-4

Please message the Laird if you are interested.

hi phil
We still haven't moved house so won't be able to travel from Cornwall to Morpeth this weekend I'm afraid !! Also please cancel us for the next one that we have booked at raf buttonwood as don't want to let you down again at the last minute !! Then if we can make it and there is space we will rebook ! If we owe you any cash of course we will pay !' Thanks Hils Mac

Phil did you check on the field ?
Yes
The main event field is firm and stable and we can get all the vans on there is we need to. Some of the smaller camping/picnic bays are soft at the moment. The site has other areas where we can park if necessary.

Roger and I will be there on Wednesday and will have decided where we will be going before anyone else arrives.

But the warden feels that the ground is fine.

No worries I will take you off the list for this meet.

Unfortunately, we are now unable to attend this meet. Moira has had a spell in hospital and is not yet back to campervanning fitness.
We are also expecting the result of tests next week.
The Laird has the details.
I am sorry to hear that, I do hope she is better soon.

Well the beach is great as usual. The stair rods in the form of rain earlier have not improved the ground at all. At Wylam earlier needed a push an duckboards to get off

I have just had a meeting with the Head of Parks, and his decision is that we can still hold the Rally.
There are certain parts of the field which we must avoid and we still cannot guarantee good weather for the whole of the weekend, but at the moment it’s all systems go!
Looking forward to seeing you all! Safe journey!

We are setting off tomorrow Rog, I have had an email from Coastal Motorhomes to say my new brake master cylinder will be delivered tomorrow but I will not be fitting it until we return, I trust the old one more than the new one
