I am sorry to hear that, who will go paddling with Keeley now? :) :)
Aww tell Keeley I’m sorry I love going for a paddle with her but I cannot change the appointment it’s too close plus it will put back my joint juice infusion.

@Phil are there plenty of water taps or do I need to arrive with a full water tank?
Thanks
You will be able to fill with fresh water when you arrive, before you park up, but a trolley may be handy for subsequent fills.
Its also quite a long walk to empty cassettes, so again a trolley will be very handy.

Druridge Bay Country Park Rally 8th-13th August 2019

I am pleased to announce the Druridge Bay Country Park Rally

The meet is for up to 5 nights Thursday 8th - Monday 12th with members leaving on Tuesday 13th at the latest. You may attend for any number of nights, but only on these days.

This meet costs £8 per unit per night.

This will be a large meet. It is not possible for everyone to sit around the same campfire, so we will not be having the main fire. If you want a fire you will need to bring your own firepit and fire blanket. All fire pits must be raised off the ground and the grass must be protected.

This meet will be held in the main field but there will be quieter places if you prefer that. Places are first to come first parked.

Limited to 70 motorhomes

The Laird has offered to bring some Stornoway black pudding to the Druridge meet:

Full bung around £16
Half bung around £8
1/4 bung around £3-4

Please message the Laird if you are interested.

Hi Phil,
Is it possible to include me in for this meet please - 3 night.

Thanks
Ian

Hi Phil. Due to family reasons, I'm not sure if I can make this meet. If I can, Saturday would be the earliest I could get.
As the meet is full, I don't want to stop anyone who wants to attend, so please feel free to give them my place if this is the case.

Thanks
Bill

The meet is not full, so just turn up if you can.

With all this rain about what is the status of the camping field ?

We have been before after heavy rain and the same field by the lake was soggy but the rest was ok. There is enough space for us all on the main field.

I will be speaking to them on Monday to check the state of play.

Thought I’d let you know that Marie (mariesnowgoose) will not be at the meet this year as it will be just a few days after her 3rd chemo treatment (is every 3 weeks).
Unfortunately, you will be stuck with just ME turning up on Saturday & staying overnight in a tent, as we sold our campervan early in the year (every intention of getting another when the time is right).
Will be nice to see you all to thank you for your support over the last few months.

(Long term forecast is for sun & showers over the weekend, so hopefully the ground will be not too bad for everyone.)

EVERYONE!!
Lily will go paddling with her as well, she is looking forward to it, we might be a day late because I am waiting for a replacement brake master cylinder, it should be here wed or thursday ?, if it is here wednesday we will still arrive thursday though

Sorry Phil I won't be able to make it to durridge this time got a problems with my eyes undergoing treatment sorry campervan

Unfortunately, we are now unable to attend this meet. Moira has had a spell in hospital and is not yet back to campervanning fitness.
We are also expecting the result of tests next week.
The Laird has the details.

Really sorry to be informed about moira not being to great ,speedy recovery and we all pass on our best wishes and get well soon

I was going to attend the Motorhomer rally with the toad on the back, but looking at the mileage and as we are going on to Scotland, I have decided that it is best left behind and the bike in the back instead. The idea of being stuck on a narrow road and trying to back the smart up on the back is not a nice thought. Leaving Wednesday morning for Lyndon Top and on to Drurridge bay from there. See Ya'll

Phil did you check on the field ?
