Weather Report..................

I'm delighted to report that the Moho got on very well with the medic-mechanic and passed it's annual health check.
I'm also pleased to report that the weather, if anything, improved as the day progressed. So this afternoon I went for a refreshing ride on the Brompton - and the rear wheel (which I rebuilt yesterday) held me off the ground a treat.
So I've got a Moho ready and willing to go wander. And I've got a Brompton which is eager to get out and about.
In a similar fashion to Adrian Mole, I'm aged 69¾ (and will be for a while) so the newly advertised recommendations for those over 70 hopefully won't overly affect me.

Colin :):):)

Very pleased that your van passed. All set now for the coming better weather, let’s hope we’re all allowed out to play and stay healthy.

I think we're very lucky having motorhomes & camper vans.

They are our mobile homes and should allow us, at least for now within the UK, to successfully self-isolate but be out and about on the road looking at a change of scenery, whilst still taking all the recommended precautions the current situation demands, of course 🙂

Absolutely Marie, lots of gardening, weather permitting, and some trips in the van to get a change of scene, hopefully staying healthy for the next few weeks ........

Finally home. Knew it was Glasgow as we fought our way through wind and a deluge to get in a taxi. Feels good after a very strange week, we were ready to depart this time last week 12000 miles later we’re back where we started.💨💦💦

There's more blue than white above Hertfordshire this morning and an air temperature of 9°C which is expected to climb to 12°C as the day progresses.
There's a gentle breeze wafting across the rolling countryside, so I'll be cycling today!

Colin 🙂🙂🙂

So I ordered the tanker for Thursday
It started to rain at 3 am.
15 minutes of light drizzle, but enough to clean the roof off .
3 litres of grubby water in the sump.
Just checked the forecast..
10mm of rain between now and tomorrow. More drizzle all week.
It's cold.. 9 degrees. And a covering of menacing clouds
Cancel the tanker? Or trust the forecast ?
We're off for a walk
Where does she hide my socks ?

Cancel the tanker and don't trust the forecast.
Your socks are in the second drawer from the top on the left-hand side next to your ties.
I hope that helps.

Colin 🙂🙂🙂

Amazing, Colin... How did you know ?
But I only brought one tie and that's a black one.... I'm using that more often, lately.
Sitting indoors, heating and socks on .
It's persisting it down..
The village was like a ghost town, at noon.
The bakery is dark and only selling bread.
No coffee .. No brandy.
I was devastated.

..................it's persisting it down......

So presumably I was right on two out of three counts:

1. Cancel tanker ✅
2. Don't trust the forecast ❌
3. Socks in drawer next to ties ✅

I don't recall ever getting such a high success rate before.

Colin 🙂🙂🙂

Not cancelling the tanker.
The Driver has had enough bad news this week. If I muck him about, he might give me less priority at a busier time.
He's not allowed to bring part loads back, so will dump it on our lane

I've asked the neighbours to leave their cistern open and he'll top it up for them..
Pleasing two of the locals, with very little extra effort.😇
It's gently raining now.
I'm collecting it to dilute the minerals in the tanker water..

Hertfordshire is reclining under a light grey sky with air at about 11°C gently wafting across it.
The forecast is for high pressure to build over the coming days resulting in temperatures in the mid teens and plenty of sunshine.
Not only that, but the aquifers are full so there shouldn't be a shortage of water this year.
Mustn't grumble.
I'll cope.

💚

We got 2000 litres overnight.
About 6 weeks supply.
More rain forecast tomorrow and Friday .
The tractor driver's phone is off the hook.
Murky grey day. 14 degrees.
Could be worse.
