What did you do to your van today?

Without knowing the circumstances of this application, I doubt anyone could advise. However, there is a generic "correct" sealant.
What I'd use is some form of non-setting butyl sealant: the stuff that's like sticky blutac, but white. It comes on a roll with a backing release paper. Quite expensive, but it lasts for decades without going hard, getting stiff or cracking.
Unfortunately I don't remember what its brand name is.
Remember, you are looking for a sealant, not an adhesive. You want it to stay flexible and waterproof forever.

Many thanks. Now that I've cleaned it up I’m beginning to wonder if it actually needs attention.

a real Laird, him of Farqhuarson fame wot paints pictures of sheep in snow!
I used to have one of his paintings. Really nice. Sadly, somewhere in the last two house moves it seems to have vanished. Someone probably thought it was a print and gave it away.

Tried to repair the carver hot water tank-----------------snapped the blasted tie rod. Ah well, had no hot water before and still got none

I'm going to eat wirms

His paintings are great but as you can imagine we get a bit surrounded by them - every pub, restaurant, coffee shop, etc in the area has copies of his paintings on display. As happens up in Scotland the name Farquharson continues mainly by changing the surname of the men who have married Farquharson daughters to Farquharson!

I gave mine a good wash. It hasn’t moved since the last one but it’s incredible how dirty it gets just standing there. I wonder how many more washes before we get out and about.

Do you fancy doing ours too? It's got half of Portugal, a bit of Spain, a load of France and quite a bit of the UK plastered on it

Just in the process of washing the roof, only did it 2 weeks ago but filthy again. Sides, rear & front clean so filth on the roof shows what’s floating around in the atmosphere and dropping onto the roof.
Also charging my toothbrush, Dyson cordless vacuum and mini power pack / starter from motorhome USB ports. Free leccy from the sun 👍👍👍.

It doesn't have one on now as I got a new one, a plain one. You can see the poor condition of it and the Wife kept nagging me to change it. I still have the rear one with the EU badge and it has the blue flag crossed out like the front one. :giggle:

I'd have crossed out the UK and kept the EU stars. I'm ashamed to be British.

Busyish few days taking the 4 solar panels off the roof, followed by a full roof clean and shampoo and then a wax to hopefully keep it cleaner for longer! Then put 6 panels back on the roof and redid the cable arrangements.
