It's also 16°C in Herts with still air and a sky that looks as if it could morph from light grey to something better.

Forecast was for no rain this week.
As we sat down to dinner on the upper terrace, the wind changed and a swarm of flies arrived.
Within minutes, it was spitting large raindrops.
To our east, we could see rain teeming off the low clouds.
We took our plates and glasses inside, closing all the veluxes.
As we sat down at the table....
The rain passed over us.
Not over-impressed.

Herts is much as East Sussex with 18°C, the gentlest of breezes and a thin mist already dispersed.
It looks as if we're in for a great day on the weather front.

The day has started as it's predicted to continue with a spotless blue sky, still air and a very happy Hertfordshire resident.
We're likely to enjoy a temperature of 28°C later this afternoon.
