Sliding inside doors waste so much space, and wtf is that on the back about.
 
270 miles? Then take off the 20% top of charge (should only charge to 80%!) Then take off the 20% bottom of charge and you have already lost a lot of miles. Then, doing more than 50mph will take off a few more and then you have to find a charger for it! I recon not much more than 150 miles if driven very carefully!

Edit: Just a thought.. Something that size is going to be over 4.25 tonnes, the proposed new weight for non C1 with electric vehicles.
 
It looks externally pretty hideous imho, but nevertheless as a prototype it’s the start of something potentially very different.
Not sure how the average beached whale sized yank would ever fit in the shoilet though!

Think I spied the Renogy Vision system as well which isn’t readily available in the uk yet and is staggeringly expensive compared to Victrons Cerbo range.

As for range my car has a 300 mile range and that’s more than adequate between stops, as for our van which iirc doesn’t have a 300 mile range we rarely do more than 150 miles between stops which is typically around 4 hours driving
 
I get 400 miles plus out of ours, and often use it, I suppose though, that it being a camper, you could have a meal at charging time or a nap if attempting to go long distance.

Adequate between stops, perhaps. But are there charging facilities at the stops?

A motorhome probably travels between home and campsite or off-grid parkup.

The likelihood of there being suitable, affordable, available and working recharging facilities where a motorhome is going to seems a bit remote at best.

Fitting a motorhome onto an EV charging bay won't always be easy.

At least you'd be able to make a coffee (or a three course meal) while you wait for it to recharge, instead of having to pay through the nose for third-rate coffee in a cardboard beaker
 
If it claims a range of 270 miles, you need to assume it'll do 210 with a small safety margin. And allow for cold weather, hills and unexpected detours.

But assuming it really does do 270 miles on a full charge, that's 1.57 miles to the KWh.

At a typical 69p per KWh, that's 44p per mile. The equivalent of 14 mpg with diesel at £1.35. Most motorhomes of that size do far better than that.

Recharging a 172KWh battery will either be slow or expensive (or both, perhaps).

Where did you last see a thread about refilling a motorhome with diesel?

The existence of a thread about something does not make it commonplace. I'd say the converse is more likely. If it was normal, people are unlikely to be discussing it.

Are you thinking about a different discussion?
The EVan under discussion here has a 172KWh battery, according to the article.
Where did you get the 1.83kWh figure?
