If we are talking motorway I usually toddle along at about 60/63 mph with the odd burst to overtake. What do folk reckon to be a good cruising speed?
I ask this because we nursed the van home from Hollingworth Lake with leaky power steering so toddled on at 50 mph and found it quite relaxing. Fifty could be the new sixty five.

CheersYours must have the 2.8 jtd with 5 speed box I wold think.
With that setup I used to travel at 56 mph and hopefully get a tow behind a big bodied HGV. Saved me a fair bit of diesel over the years.
I agree about driving to the revs and not the speedo, 2000 to 2,200 rpm was my ideal cruising regime.
Indeed and there is a lot of tailgating too which is pure madness.Hgv trucks ARE MEANT NOT TO EXCEED 56 mph but there are a lot out there a tad naughty shall we say esp some from further afield
that's all I'm saying on this one
