Like most things in this modern world motorhomes should come with a re set to factory settings button. Ive just spent the last 3 hours cleaning 6 years worth of junk out the van. Enough booze to open a pub. Enough cables and charging stuff to rewire the grid. Enough torches to see mars. Still not finished yet probably enough stuff to fill a skip.My Job today to put the van back to factory settings and completely empty it and ged rid off all the crap.

If you're up for doing homers, Wully, Brunhilde awaits ... Easy job, 'cos all the crap is in boxes labelled 'Justin Case', and when Mr Case discovers where all his kit has ended up. he'll be livid! :D

It was going away to Lochore with stuff just fired into the Van, because 'it's only local and we can sort it out when we get there' that led to the confusion with Elaine's bag of valuables and the 20 minute+ phone call to India to cancel the 'stolen' Bank Cards which we discovered 5 minutes after the cancellation call ...

And my monthly Smarty subscription failed on Friday, because it comes from one of the blocked Bank Cards that have not been reissued within the promised 5-7 days. And, finally, it was the panic over the 'theft' that led to the van alarm being triggered accidentally, which led to ccomplaints from one of the neighbours, Wully :p

Honestly no joking must have took at least 1/2 ton of crap oot being ruthless but half will probably go back in I’ve not even started to the outside lockers and garage yet. Found £64 up till now a bit here and a bit there that’s half a tank of derv.

If the way you and Annie do things is typical of all Motorhomers, there could be a business in doing "Free Valets" with the only charge being allowed to keep what you find :D

And you and Annie were mocking me at Lochore, Wully for knowing that I had £21.43 exactly in cash in my wallet [without having to refer to a spreadsheet ...] :D

I feel your pain I have spent a few days doing this and even after downsizing the van and getting rid of tons I still filled the Adria with more stuff than I can use or need but finally getting there.

Yes I found £300 in mine that I had forgotten about and it’s not the first time I have hidden money and forgot about it and it’s such a winning feeling when you find what you didn’t know or remember you had. 🤣

Or you could just arrange another Scottish mini meet after Hereford. 👍

I think we have found the supply of "leftover wine" that some recipes call for!
I was parked next to Wully at Lochore when he opened the Booze Cupboard, and can confirm the veracity of his claim! He has got a beautiful Van, and that morning, Wully showed how to put the 'Gin' in 'Gin Palace'! I was too embarrassed to confess to our purchase of a box of 15 Kronenbourg [3 free!] for a Rally in July 2021 where 5 went out of date 12 months later :p

I am the only obese 'lightweight' on the Forum ... [Is that too close to a Matt Lucas ' ... in the Village' Welsh character?]

Shame it still won't buy what it would when you hid it away.

Must be a rich gurl though, I never have enough to hide anyway, or Liz has borrowed it as she doesn't carry her purse anywhere she can use it and she just transfers it so I have to go to the ATM to get the cash I never use
