Not much point now is there. Why not take the battery out and sort it now, so the van works when you need it?

Check your charging voltage. About 13 volts plus. If thats ok check if your van is using and how long its standing. If thats ok check the battery or have it checked. Dont let them tell you that its your charger that broke the battery as Halfords told me. I had my money refunded and bought a battery elsewhere and 2 years later it was still perfect. Sold that vehicle now. Best wishes

This may be the solution: https://wildcamping.co.uk/threads/helicopter-flight-lake-district.100383/post-1451012Recovery coming today, spoke to neighbours last night about getting their cars out of the way, this will be a difficult recovery as it is back to the road, a narrow road, 1 inch from a stone wall at the side, on full lock towards it, and nothing to pull on, they may refuse to do it.
Best post the bugger has ever written, bet he nicked it though. This may be the solution: https://wildcamping.co.uk/threads/helicopter-flight-lake-district.100383/post-1451012
Good job it's winter Kev, by the time it's expanded a bit in the summer it'll be rubbing!I went down to the garage to speak to them, the van was next in line as it arrived later than booked in due to difficulties extracting it from my drive, I told them every thing negative about it since we bought it, repaird ECU, weird noises, numb as owt when cold and if pushed engine light coming on then going off later, odd clicking noise when turning it off (not a cooling noise) they are aslos going to do a battery report for Alpha, it may save me a trip over to Rochdale.

3-4 years ago? Doubt it would be under any warranty still.I rang these, and spoke the the lad who sent mine off last time 3-4 years ago, but he had a bad accident and ceased trading so no paper trail.
I think it is the same ECU, David. Vehicle battery goes flat and ECU acts as an expensive fuse and pops the airbag and seat belt controls. Lights the dashboard up like Blackpool illuminations. It's why I rave about the AMT 12 and the almost constant current feed from the Leisure Battery option, having had a total bill of £1335 when mine failed in November 20213-4 years ago? Do these ECUs screw up due to low voltage attempted starting like the Airbag one?
ah. same one. I always recommend the AMT now. doing an big upgrade in about a month and AMT is front & centre in the list of partsI think it is the same ECU, David.
