Drugs are the best Trev IMHO, surgery has it's own risks.
 
I recorded the consultation and one ray of light is that he said it is possible that what we are seeing in the lymph nodes is them dealing with the eczema and Psoriasis, but they are doing a bone scan on the 29th, so I'll have to wait and see, there may be more biopsies or MRI scans.

Best advice I've been given is to go Caffeine Free.
I now get 8 hours unbroken sleep, most nights.
Do miss my strong, black Portuguese coffees, though.
 
Caffeine doesn't seem to make any difference to me, best I can get is 5-6 hours before I need to pee, it has improved since the meds changed from 10mg down to 3 x 2.5mg

I can't go longer than two hours without going. That's one of the advantages of having a motorhome. And one which you can get up in the night without disturbing the other inhabitant. Also I am very familiar with all the supermarkets and weatherspoons within a 20 mile radius.
 
One thing i notice is the lack of public toilets these days, when i was very young Belfast had a underground unit in most big streets, even our we village had one near the bus terminus, all gone now.
 
Funny you mention that, only last week in the paper there was an article about them re-opening the ones in Shipley town center, been closed for eight years.
 
To save money, local authorities closed all the smelly dirty toilets that most people avoided like the plague.

They covered that loss by enforcing supermarkets and others to install them as a "Planning Gain". To be honest, in my view it's mostly been a good thing.
 
Been on hormone treatment 3 months now my boobs are coming on fine.🤣🤣
Had a scan and tattoo marks put on today ready for the radio therapy ,starting in 2 weeks.
Got to say nhs is in the shite ,but my experience has been great so far.

Lucky you, i have been on the pills a lot longer, legs are on fire at night and i fell my mustles are not up to scratch, ah well sunday i become a pensioner, will have to put on differant socks, spill b beens down my front and possably have the odd trouser wetting experance. 😂
 
Still waiting for the results of my bone scan and FIT test test etc, I'm starting to get a bit worried as I' getting old blood where I don't want it, but strangely I'm peeing like a horse on the new 3 x 25mg Fuzatol, it took about a month to kick in but well please with the once a night pee.

Mine was 7/11ths cancerous with PSA of only 4.
 
Mine 3.5 but never told me much except it got to the outside a we bit, all down to a bad doctor i had who dismissed my findings.

Most men die with it but not from it so it is worth asking your doc for a PSA test, or for him to put the gloves on for a physical test, (if his hands are one your shoulders or hips, he's doing it wrong) Mine is low grade and I need no meds for the cancer but it does affect my bladder so I have meds for that, they seem to work most of the time but I need to have a day off every now and then, today is one of those days, not fun at all, you go but you can't so wait 5 minutes then suddenly you can.

I have just had a biopsy and go to hospital today for the result. I have been told by the consultant that I have it but they will tell me if it's treatable radiotherapy. It has apparently broken through the wall of my prostate.
