Weather Report..................

Change of plan as usual, abandoned Il de Re and headed inland, now at the municipal site in Bergerac. Nice pitch overlooking the river. Herts has been quite variable today. We've had showers of rain to be sure, but also a few patches of blue. It's still very mild and the air is pretty much still.
The forecast for the coming few days is for more variability.

The rain duly arrived yesterday. Drizzle all day. It took10 hours to fully clean the roof of dust, shird bite and other crud, before the water was clean enough to put in the cistern... 1000 litres of lovely fresh rainwater.
Different day altogether, this morning.
Breakfast outdoors.
Gipsy market,this morning.. We had a 5 item lunch... Piri piri chicken, salad,olives,bread.. a bottle of red wine.. All for7.50€ a knock.
Sitting on the terrace, 20 degrees.
 
paul you and jennie still in bilboa ???? your not going to make it to portugal at this rate weather has been superb this year a few fires have been spotted and a lot of wine drunk were now down at pomarao on the border our friends return to costa blanca on tuesday to see how their house survived the storms think we’ll chill for a few more days
 
Well the rain finally stopped in Bergerac mid afternoon. This evening we strolled into town for a meal ................
Couple of views of the town and river, and one in the historic centre with some fabulous floral displays still evident..........
