Weather Report..................

Yesterday afternoon here in Herts the sky went as dark as I've ever seen it together with lightening and thunder. Then we had a torrential downpour for perhaps an hour followed by lighter rain for another hour or so. Hopefully it didn't all run off into the streams and rivers but actually soaked in to benefit the flora.
Now it's 15°C and very bright, light grey with a gentle breeze.
There's no rain forecast today so I'll potter in the garden and fit in a ride around the lanes.

Glad to hear that you've got some rain, maybe it will thin out the crowds of lemmings on the beaches and beauty spots..?

Very fair, here .

Light clouds, light breezes .

Cool enough to do some light work in the garden .
Afternoon was calm, cloudy, close and even the odd raindrop
Lovely calm evening.
Cooler weather expected , Only 14 degrees at 7am, 25 at 4pm, tomorrow..
That'll do... If we don't get up til 9.
 
Pleasant.
Fresh NW breezes keep the house comfortable.
The sunny terrace is sheltered and warm.
No Orioles to sing through breakfast.
Have they packed up and moved on..?
A noisy, show-off, Great Woodpecker is headbanging in the tree.
He doesn't impress us.
 
The shopping has been done.
The washing is drying.
The garden is manicured.
The sourdough is rising.
The coffee tastes great.
The bike ride awaits.

And the weather, you ask?
It's about 13°C now with a northerly breeze and patchy blue above Hertfordshire. We're expecting the temperature to rocket to 14°C this afternoon....... but it should stay dry.

I've learnt to keep expectations low and as a result I'm rarely disappointed in life.

Plants planted
laptop issue fixed, now connects with internet again 🤬

Cake in the oven
hate coffe, but tea is ok!

1% chance of rain forecast...looks very cloudy, but not too cold!

Just restarted my gardening trips to my cousin‘s place, first since lockdown, so it’s looking a bit tidier for clearing 10 weeks debris and some hedge trimming. Grass cutting here this afternoon, skies are grey but it’s dry with a gentle breeze.

Did have my mum to sort out and take with me too....nothing is speedy with her! Takes a lot to get her out of the door nowadays, forgets why we doing something in mid flight so have to keep stopping and re-explaining! Both of us are so much happier since she has come to stay though, (although Dave gets going on the jobs earlier...avoidance tactics!) If nothing else, lockdown has shown us we have time!

Back from a visit to the big, safe, inland town.
Dentist at 6.30.
Jenny needed a routine jab at 5..
We planned a big supermarket shop, in between.
With our usual perfect organisation,
She forgot to bring the ampule of vaccine, I forgot the carefully concocted shopping list.
Stopped off at our favourite restaurant, on the way back...
WE HAD CHIPS....!!.
First outside meal in nearly 4 months.
Just us, plus another couple... 10 metres apart..
On the terrace, now.. 18 degrees.
