Today we managed to finish the rubbing down of far too much indoor paintwork whilst the summer sun beat down on the surrounding Essex countryside.
So this evening we enjoyed a well-earned meal (heavily subsidised by Mr R. Sunak) in a Nepalese restaurant.

Another mixed day up in Cheshire, mostly high cloud with an occasional sunny interval. Looking at the forecast we should get some longer sunny periods tomorrow, but the temperatures are set to be more restrained than those to be experienced by our southern correspondents.
