After a great week in the Lakes, the normal weather has returned to work.. More than mildly moist. A wet weekend?

It's 11° very windy and although dry, heavy rain is on it's way.

Heavy rain overnight here in York, and it continues this morning. Heading across to Scarborough later and at least it should be better tomorrow and Sunday for the racing. 🌧

It's different here.
Slight clouds and a gentle NW breeze, max 30 this afternoon.
No mention of any rain at all now, after forecasting 30+ mm over Monday and Tuesday.
Nothing dramatic planned today...

It's been very windy here on Salisbury Plain overnight - so much so that a structure of large stones over on the horizon appears to have been damaged.
It's still windy with the occasional bright spell and intermittent horizontal rain crashing into the Moho.

Absolutely awful up here in NE Scotland and I’m getting fed up with it now - can somebody please move the jet stream back north of us? Only 7deg with torrential rain and pretty windy as well. This is May for heavens sake!

Those stones have been like that for years Colin, I reckon the contractor's gone bust

Just back from aberdeen /heavy flooding in fields as well as the roads,car on its side at Laurencekirk ,van smashed at Forfar road,idiots belting on when the roads had rivers going across them ,hairs on the back o ma neck were to attention Aholes

A 35 mph Northerly hooley blew in overnight and is still rattling around.

A brisk 18 degrees, outside, I'm told.

Good day for drying the laundry.

Our Duvets, freshly laundered, may end up in the Sahara.

It was overcast but dry and the howling wind had diminished to a relative whisper at Stonehenge by this morning.
So I've returned to Hertfordshire where there are two washloads drying in the sunshine.
I'm happy.
