Weather Report..................

We have a dramatic storm, crashing around us. Even Hailstones rattling on the roof and terrace..
My Nephew, a Humber Pilot, recommends www.xcweather.co.uk. Just tried it... It's pretty damn good..

A weather report of extremes today.

In anticipation of relatively bad weather in Herts for the next few days I left about 0300 today and drove around the M25 and down the M23 to Gatwick. It was -7°C with heavy snow on the south side of the M25 and M23.
This was the view across the airport through the de-icer covering the plane:

Then about 7 hours later and 24.5°C driving through a sand storm blowing across the extensive dunes at the northern end of Fuerteventura:

It was about 17°C overnight and by this morning the (literally) howling wind had gone elsewhere.
It's bright grey at the moment but with luck the sun will break through the thin cloud later.

Colin ???

Good planning, Colin.

Try to avoid posting smug comments, some of us are having a tough time.
Only13 degrees here. Gusty winds and short, sharp showers.

You obviously not at home, there's no mention of a bike ride.

We are into our 4th day of high winds, heavy showers and occasional thunderstorms still it's still about 13c.
You've always got to look on the bright side.

I heard there are some steep hills in Leeds. That one looks a good'un!

It was portrait on my computer but the website turned it round

They have 2 feel of snow in BuxtonIMG-20180228-WA0001.jpg on

A little cooler than in the lovely desert, but still 16 degrees and :The_Sun_Emoji::The_Sun_Emoji::The_Sun_Emoji:in San Diego. The smug filter needs replacement after the early decision not to arrive in London tomorrow!

But surely, Paul, that's exactly what you want?
Personally I'm OK with todays' 'hot and sunny'.

I simply didn't want to appear smug, Lee. Paul has advised against it.

However.

I'm on Fuerteventura and today was hot and sunny.
So I went for an exercise-bike ride.
Which I really dislike but at least it got the cardiovascular bits working hard for the equivalent of perhaps 30km.
I hate working in a gym in front of a mirror - I've not inherited the hedonist genes and in any case am not a pleasant sight even when not sweating like a pig! I'm determined to regain at least a modicum of my former fitness.

Colin ???
