The good news is that the dry spells have allowed me to get and and continue our pruning, ready for winter.

We were forecast heavy rain all day. We certainly got the glowering clouds scudding past, but very little rain. I was out into the garden like a scalded cat.

Gypsy market, mostly a washout.

Bought a few bedding plants and back for coffee and winter brandy.

But they've just changed the forecast :
They say 98% chance of rainfall and 38% of a thunderstorm.

After a wet week and a full laundry basket...
Checked the two least inaccurate websites and assured Management that .." THERE WILL BE NO RAIN UNTIL THURSDAY. "!
Machine on , overnight.
You can guess the rest.
The house will be like a Chinese laundry..
At least we'll not have to irrigate.

Late on weather forecast parade. I can't even use the excuse that yesterday I had been at the RAH watching Mahler's Symphony of a Thousand, which I had.

The truth is that it simply chucked it down early morning, brightened up later whilst I did some voluntary work in the fields, remained bright in the afternoon whilst we both swept up leaves, and became cold and damp all evening. So the forecast of a manky old day was correct.
